Founded in 1908, the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology is a Technical College with a student population of 640 and a student to faculty ratio of 12:1. The college offers programs in architectural, automotive, computers, electrical, electronics, mechanical engineering technology, medical electronics technology, networking/systems administration, pharmacy technology and HVAC. The college accepts students that are serious about their career paths in the technical arts and who will continue to represent the college's strong reputation in industry, which is represented by its many highly successful graduates. To assist students in their goal of gaining associate degrees in technology, the college has support services such as a college success skills course, academic advising, and tutoring. Throughout their two-year stay at the college, the Career Services and Placement Office works with students to assist in placing them into the best possible jobs.
