Mount Aloysius College is a small, private, comprehensive, Catholic, liberal arts college sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. Established in 1853, the college today specializes in both undergraduate and graduate education. Since the founding of the college, 11,000 students have become Mount Aloysius College alumni. The college is proud of its commitment to small classroom size and providing a highly structured environment. The college boasts of a 14:1 student to faculty ratio. Many of Mount Aloysius College students come from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, but also a large portion come from the states contiguous of Pennsylvania. Current states represented on campus include: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, and West Virginia. Seventy percent of the college's students are women. There are approximately 1200 full time students and 800 part time students.

Mount Aloysius College offers students a values-based, four-year, co-educational, comprehensive, liberal arts education.  The College is located in Cresson, Pennsylvania.  Founded in 1853 as an academy by the Sisters of Mercy, Mount Aloysius began offering baccalaureate degrees in 1991.  Since 1853, more than 10,000 students have graduated with baccalaureate and associate degrees.  Mount Aloysius enrolls approximately 1,600 students of which 1,125 are full-time undergraduates.

Rigorous academics, career preparation, and your personal and professional success are what we are all about. Student activities and participation in sports round out your college experience. Currently a member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA), the Mount Aloysius Athletics program was granted provisional NCAA Division III status beginning in Fall 2004.  Mount Aloysius athletes compete in 11 sports.

Many Mount Aloysius programs have a 100 % job placement rate, with the health studies fields boasting a 99% placement rate.  Overall 97% of our students have a full-time career or enroll in graduate or law school within three months of graduating.

Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees are offered in fields such as Business, Computer Science, Criminology, Elementary/Early Childhood Education, English, Information Technology, Medical Imaging, Nursing (RN to BSN Program), Occupational Therapy (3+2), Physical Therapy (4+2), Physician Assistant (3+2), Pre-Law/Legal Studies, Professional Studies, Psychology, and Sign Language and Interpreter Education.

Associate degree programs are offered in Applied Technology, Business Administration, Criminology, Early Childhood Education, General Studies, Legal Studies, Medical Assistant, Nursing RN Program, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist Assistant, Radiography, Sign Language and Interpreter Education and Surgical Technology.

Mount Aloysius College has recently adopted a new scholarship and grant program with awards valued up to $8,000. Awards are renewable each academic year.  For those students looking for a challenge, our distinctive Honors Program provides the opportunity for expansion of critical thinking and problem solving within an environment of highly interactive learning.
