About North Georgia College & State University
|
 |
Chosen as the top Army ROTC program in the country by the Founders and Patriots of America in 2009-2010, North Georgia College & State University was also named the top senior military college in the nation by the Douglas MacArthur Foundation for 2009-2010. By far the least expensive senior military college, North Georgia Cadets live in new Cadet residence halls, study in a new $25 million library/technology complex, work out is a new, state-of-the-art fitness center, and will soon eat in a stunning new dining facility.
Known for its innovation in international affairs and foreign language education, North Georgia offers more than 50 bachelor’s degrees. If you are seeking a job as an Army officer; or a job in federal service such as the FBI, CIA, State Department; or a career in international business, North Georgia is for you.
Nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, Dahlonega, Georgia, is a quaint, historic, safe small town one hour north of Atlanta. Dahlonega is the site of one of the first major gold rushes in the U.S. and is the home of the Mountain Phase of the Army’s Ranger School.
North Georgia’s Corps of Cadets numbers 800, and is the centerpiece of the university’s 5,000 undergraduate students. Cadets receive a combination of a West Point-like experience along with a normal college experience resulting in a well-rounded social and military experience.
North Georgia seeks disciplined young men and women who want to be leaders. We are not looking for young men and women who need discipline. Applicants must have completed a college-preparatory curriculum in high school, have good grades and SAT or ACT scores, and be in good physical and medical condition.
