St. John’s enriches students’ education with Academic Service-Learning. Through these course-related volunteer activities, students gain confidence by assisting those in need. Strengthening its mission,
St. John’s recently created VISA — the Vincentian Institute for Social Action — a broad framework of programs that empower students and faculty to combat global poverty through teaching, research and service.
Service also is a focus of
St. John’s Global Studies programs. Discover the World allows students to earn 15 credits in three foreign cities in one semester. Students also can spend a semester, winter or summer break living, learning and serving in locations throughout
Europe ,
Asia and
Latin America .
