Students at FIDM thrive thanks to 500 talented faculty members who work in the industries that we serve and a committed Advisory Board of over 75 top professionals dedicated to keeping FIDM’s industry-driven curriculum on the cutting edge. Choose from 2-year Associate of Arts Degrees, 1-year Professional designation and Advanced Study Programs, and a 4-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management.

An Amazing Hands-On Experience

FIDM’s student population of 7,500 are given the tools needed to compete in the exciting industries of Fashion, Visual Arts, Interior Design, and Entertainment. Students get behind the scenes tours of leading companies, are mentored by industry professionals, receive exciting internships, and have the chance to participate in Study Tours and Exchange Programs in Paris, Rome, Milan, Florence, London, Mexico City, New York, and Asia. The opportunities are truly endless.

4 Dynamic Campuses

FIDM’s four campuses are located in California’s major commercial centers: Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Diego, and Orange County. The state is bursting at the seams with excitement and creativity, inspiring students inside and outside of the classroom. California’s top three revenue producing industries dovetail with FIDM’s Majors: Fashion and Retail, Entertainment, and Manufacturing and it’s no surprise then that California is where trends begin and where careers are launched. FIDM’s Los Angeles Campus is the West Coast Home of Project Runway and all four campuses feature state-of-the-industry and innovative classrooms.

Career Development

FIDM Graduates join a powerful network of nearly 40,000 alumni and receive professional career development services throughout their entire industry career free of charge. FIDM Graduates include include renowned fashion designers like Monique Lhuillier, Emmy® and Academy Award® award-winning costume designers, top fashion industry executives, and entrepreneurs.

Eight Project Runway contestants are graduates of FIDM, including Season 5 winner Leanne Marshall.
