Overview

The University of Wyoming, established as a land-grant institution in 1886, offers a long history of academic excellence and a future made bright by generous funding and support from the state legislature. With over 180 programs of study, you can find what you are interested in through opportunities in our Colleges of Agriculture, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Engineering, Health Sciences, as well as the School of Environment and Natural Resources, and the newly established School of Energy. Quality 

Individual attention and small class sizes are emphasized, and each year, more than 1500 undergraduates have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge research with their professors. Alone in the top tier of full research institutions, the University of Wyoming has a low 16:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and is very proud that 89% of the classes are taught by faculty. Students at the University, when surveyed by two outside companies, consistently score well above the national average in how positive they feel about their experiences.
